Joining a Keep Going Athletic Club

What is Keep Going Athletic Club?

Keep Going Athletic Club is the official community running network of Keep Going Athletics. Through ambassador-led chapters across the country, we bring runners together for consistent group runs, local events, and meaningful connections built around discipline, community, and personal growth.

Who can join?

Anyone. Whether you're a beginner, recreational runner, walker, or experienced marathoner, every official chapter is designed to be welcoming and inclusive.

Do I have to be fast?

No. Pace doesn't define our community. Every chapter welcomes people at different fitness levels, and no one is left behind because of speed.

Is there an age requirement?

Most chapters are designed for adults, but younger participants may attend when accompanied by a parent or guardian if permitted by the local Chapter Leader.

Is it free to join?

Weekly community runs are completely free. Some special events, races, or partner experiences may require separate registration.

How do I find my local chapter?

Visit our Find a Chapter page to browse official Keep Going Athletic Club chapters by city. Each chapter has its own page with meeting information, schedule, Chapter Leader, Instagram, and Strava Club.

What if there isn't a chapter near me?

We're expanding nationwide. If your city isn't listed, you can begin your journey by becoming a Keep Going Athletics Ambassador. Active Ambassadors may earn the opportunity to become an Official Chapter Leader.

Attending Runs

What should I expect at my first run?

Expect a welcoming group of people who are there to support one another. Most runs begin with introductions, announcements, a group photo, and an overview of the route before everyone heads out together.

Can I attend by myself?

Absolutely. Many members attend their first run alone. Our goal is to make every new runner feel welcomed from day one.

Can I bring friends?

Yes. Friends and family are always encouraged to join community runs.

Can I bring my dog?

Some chapters welcome dogs while others may not due to route or venue restrictions. Check your local chapter's page before attending.

What should I bring?

Comfortable running shoes, water if needed, and a positive attitude. Some chapters may recommend reflective gear or lights for evening runs.

Do chapters meet every week?

Most official chapters host at least one recurring weekly run, with additional social events, races, volunteer opportunities, and community activities throughout the year.

Ambassador Program

What is the Ambassador Program?

The Ambassador Program is the foundation of Keep Going Athletic Club leadership. Ambassadors represent the Keep Going Athletics mission, support their local communities, and help grow the movement.

Do I have to become an Ambassador before leading a chapter?

Yes. Every official Chapter Leader begins as a Keep Going Athletics Ambassador. Leadership is earned through consistency, ownership, and commitment to the community.

How do I become an Ambassador?

Complete the Ambassador application through our website. Applications are reviewed regularly, and accepted Ambassadors receive onboarding and access to the KGA Ambassador community.

Chapter Leadership

How do I become a Chapter Leader?

After becoming an active Ambassador and consistently representing the Keep Going Athletics mission, eligible Ambassadors may apply to launch an official chapter.

What qualities do you look for in Chapter Leaders?

We're looking for people who lead with integrity, consistently show up, genuinely care about others, communicate well, and want to build a lasting community—not simply organize a weekly run.

What support do Chapter Leaders receive?

Approved Chapter Leaders receive official branding, creative design support, social media promotion, launch resources, apparel, and ongoing guidance from the Keep Going Athletics team.

Do Chapter Leaders own their local chapter?

Chapter Leaders are responsible for leading and growing their local community while representing Keep Going Athletics. Chapters operate under the Keep Going Athletics brand and standards while giving leaders ownership of their local culture and community.

Can there be multiple Chapter Leaders?

Yes. Depending on the size of the city and chapter, multiple leaders or assistant leaders may help organize runs and events.

Events & Community

Does Keep Going Athletic Club host races?

Yes. Keep Going Athletics hosts official races, endurance events, and community experiences throughout the year. Keep Going Athletic Club chapters are encouraged to attend together, represent their city, and support one another on race day. Local chapters may also organize meetups and participate in additional races within their communities.

Can I attend chapters while traveling?

Absolutely. Every official chapter is part of the same nationwide community. You're encouraged to join runs whenever you're visiting another city.

How do I stay updated?

Follow your local chapter on Instagram, join its Strava Club, and follow @KeepGoingAthletics for national announcements, events, and updates.

Is Keep Going Athletic Club affiliated with Keep Going Athletics?

Yes. Keep Going Athletic Club is the official community division of Keep Going Athletics and operates under the same mission, values, and leadership.
